Dear Rotarians,
It is with great pleasure and honour that I invite and welcome you to the wonderful and enlightening District Assembly from 30th March to 1st April 2012. Every year the Assembly provides the club leaders in the District an edifying opportunity for them to be equipped with Rotary knowledge and to update themselves with the latest thought on Rotary Service. It is imperative on the incoming club leaders to participate actively in the training programmes so as to be fully prepared to face challenges that will come their way in RY 2012/13.
The Organizing Chair PDG Dr. Rajindar Singh and the District Trainer Dato’ Mohd Ariff and their respective teams have been working incredibly hard and diligent and full of creativity too in order to produce something meaningful for you, and to make the week-end unforgettable. We are indeed fortunate and honoured to have such dedicated Rotarians in our midst. On behalf of the organizing committee of the 78th District Assembly, I look forward to seeing you in this quaint, rustic yet refined city of Ipoh in March/April 2012.

Dear Rotarians,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your family to the 78th Rotary International District 3300 Assembly in Ipoh from 30th March to 1st April 2012. Ipoh is a fascinating destination. It has a wide range of historic, cultural and architectural attractions which are relatively concentrated in the city and easy to reach. It is famous for its limestone caves, Chinese cave temples, Kellie’s Castle, Tambun hot Springs and the Pomelo Orchards, to name a few. It is also well known for its culinary delights such as “Sar Hor Fun”, “Hor Hee”, “nga Choi Kai”, “Hakka Mee”, “Heong Peng” and “Ipoh white coffee”. Moreover it is easily accessible by road and the fast electric train. These are enough reasons to come to Ipoh.
In addition, the organising committee is planning a great event, taking you back to the roaring jazz era of the twenties, a Black Tie Banquet and a House of Friendship where you can let your hair down while looking down at the splendid city. So come and enjoy the serene beauty of Ipoh, attend the Assembly and enrich your Rotary knowledge and make new friends.
